After a year of laying the foundations for the programme, hard work and implementing the sophisticated infrastructure behind the scenes, we’re very pleased to announce that iMlango is now live. To prepare everything for the launch, the field team worked tirelessly to ensure that all 195 school packs - which contained the attendance cards, tablets and user manuals - were packed away and distributed to the schools. The packs were distributed using a series of security trucks, with the first truckload going to the Uasin Gishu County schools. Once the packs are delivered to the schools, the teachers will use sQuid’s innovative Check-in App and contactless smart cards to record the students’ attendance. This creates a digital profile for the student which is stored in the iMlango database – the profile includes attendance, education performance and learning platform data.
